A CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is a relationship rooted in trust, care, and shared responsibility between farmers and community members. When you join a CSA, you commit to supporting a farm for the season, and in return you receive fresh, seasonal food grown with intention and integrity.
For Black farmers, CSAs are especially vital. In the 1920s, Black farmers owned roughly 14% of farmland in the United States. Today, due to generations of land theft, discrimination, and systemic exclusion, Black farmers own less than 1%. CSAs offer a path toward rebuilding what was taken—providing upfront resources for seeds, labor, and land stewardship, and reducing dependence on systems that have historically denied Black farmers access and stability.
At Liberation Farm, our CSA is more than food distribution. It is an investment in Black land sovereignty and community resilience. CSA members are invited into the life of the farm through camping events, volunteer days, workshops, and seasonal gatherings that reconnect us to land, history, and collective power.
By joining our CSA, you’re not just receiving nourishment—you’re helping to restore Black land stewardship, support living farmers, and grow a future rooted in justice, Black land equity, care, and liberation.
Liberation Farm was created from a need to return to the land—not just to grow food, but to heal, remember, and reclaim what was taken. For generations, Black people have carried agricultural knowledge while being pushed off the land we cultivated. This farm is a living response to that history.
Through farming, youth education, political education, and community gatherings, Liberation Farm creates space for Black people to learn, rest, and build power together. Every harvest, workshop, and volunteer day is an act of resistance and care—proof that land can still be a site of liberation.
We offer a variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables. All of our products are natrully grown!
We offer a rotating selection of produce based on the season, including:
Our produce is available through our CSA, direct sales, and special offerings. Every purchase supports Black land stewardship, education, and community-led agriculture rooted in liberation.
Sliding Scale Pricing
Liberation Farm uses a sliding scale to make fresh, culturally rooted food accessible while sustaining the work of Black farmers.
You choose your price based on your current financial situation. There is no application or proof required—just honesty and care for the collective. Those who are able to pay at the higher end help support members who need a lower-cost option and help keep the farm growing.
All CSA members receive the same quality food, grown with intention, respect for the land, and commitment to Black food sovereignty—no matter the price tier chosen.
This model allows us to practice community care, mutual aid, and shared responsibility while building a more just food system.
